CHTC DAVIS CUP : Chapel Hill Tennis Club sponsored its own Davis Cup. The day was a perfect North Carolina Spring day. There was plenty of food (freshly baked ham) and food representing each country that members prepared themselves. The beer was plentiful but lemonade was offered for those whose tennis was a serious affair. All in all a great day hosted by our lovely, friendly club. Thank you Z for taking some of the pics while I played. To all visitors you may make a comment by clicking in the bottom left corner of the screen. Its great getting feedback. Don't be shy!

CHTC Italian Wine Tasting & Dinner : CHTC hosted a Tennis and Italian Wine Tasting and Dinner on Saturday Night. It was a huge Success. The format was an hour and a half of drills followed by 45 minutes of wine tasting. Guests then sat down for an Italian dinner. Firstly, six different stations were set-up each with one type of Italian wine paired with an appropriate appetizer for that region. Chef Ashley and Petra outdid themselves with appetizers like polenta topped with sauteed mushrooms or grilled shrimp with basil and garlic. It all was delicious. Dave Cozzens provided the wine and his expertise in what to look for when tasting wines. His enthusiasm and outgoing attitude set the tone for the evening. After a wonderful dinner of caesar salad, pasta and tiramisu certain lucky guests won prizes after putting their names in a raffle. All in all it was a wonderfully relaxing evening and an opportunity for CHTC members to get to know each other better.
